Xicom technologies is a worthless firm

Xicom is a worthless web development firm. Though one of my known, suggested me the company, but I wish I would have not listened to him. Guys’, trust me, doing a background research is a must. And if you are about to hire Xicom, then it would be my personal advice - don't do it. Xicom not only lacks experience and technical expertise, but also don’t have adequate manpower who can tweak the technologies to do your task. I was looking for a simple Payment Gateway integration on my ecommerce site, but to my surprise the bunch of fools from Xicom was unable to do that. I assessed their capability when I had a talk with one of their developers on phone, but as I came to the company through a personal contact, so I wanted them to give a bit of time. But today I know, that was not worth as a decision.

Know the real face of Xicom!

I am writing here to make all aware of the real face of Xicom. This provider will certainly quote an amount at the initial stage; and then attempt to shift the plan to an hourly price so that they can nickle and dime you. They did the same with me. After settling for an initial price they charged me more than $2000 buck extra. Xicom technologies merely do quality work. In the starting they would lure with amazing expertise; when you need them the most, they start being unresponsive and causing the run around in regards to making things work. I hate lame excuses, and I want solid outcomes. Which, the provider failed to serve me with and am not unsure of giving a negative Xicom review here.

At this point we feel like this is the only recourse we have. So this is our story of how we contracted out Elancer, Xicom Technologies, and how they managed to swindle $10, 000 right out from under us, and Elance did nothing. How did it happen? We’re going to explain, so it does not happen to you too!

Xicom technologies scammed on Elance project worth $85000

Are You Outsourcing to XICOM TECHNOLOGIES? STOP and Read This First!

Allow me to share with you this unfortunate incident that happened between me & Surabhi Dixit, the project manager of Xicom technologies. I was looking for a company to build me a website using .net technology and a windows mobile app in Elance. I posted a job and many companies placed their bid including Xicom.

The same day I also got a call from Ms Surabhi Dixit the project manager at Xicom. Now I understand that Elance doesn't allow us to share our personal details so I asked her how did she get my phone no. and obviously she didn't answer so it remained a mystery to me. Later I guessed that probably she many have managed to find it via Linkedin.

Anyway she offered me to work on this project separately with her and hiring her as a freelancer at much lower cost than what Xicom might have bid. She tried to convince me that she would be working on my project anyway in Xicom, because the COMPANY DO NOT HAVE COMPETENT DEVELOPERS. I was not interested in hiring freelancer for my project so I turned her down. But I hired XICOM TECHNOLOGIES via Elance as I wanted to have a team working on my project with correct timelines, standards and for quality assurances.

Xicom gave me an estimates of 7 months and $85000. It was acceptable to me. The project started and indeed the person in communication was Surabhi Dixit. She constantly continued to call me in my PST timezone and tried to convince me that the company XICOM TECHNOLOGIES DO NOT HAVE ANY TESTING TEAM, AND THEY DO NOT DO ANY QUALITY ASSURANCE, so it is almost only her working on the project and she can do it at a much lower cost if I hire her as a freelancer. And I constantly disagreed.

The milestones were set in the fashion of 50% advance payment, 20% payment on completion of testing and 30% payment on handover of the source code. The project started and continued upto 6 months when it was not even half finished. I was wondering and realised that may be Ms. Dixit is not interested in working on my project as I turned her offer down so I requested the customer accounts to change my project manager. But to my astonishment, I didn't even get a response by them. So, I called Surabhi and she assured me that the project will be finished on time. However even at the end of 8 months (1 month over the deadline), the project was nowhere near completion. When it was almost 10 months, Xicom was not close to developing half of the website; and the app was almost untouched.

Despite several reminders, endless phone calls and discussions, the managers of XICOM TECHNOLOGIES never bothered to do anything concrete about the project. Finally when I was in a mind to call it a day with them, they convinced me that they will complete the project and hand over me the code. I thought to give them a last chance, but without my surprise the XICOM TECHNOLOGIES scam continued.

Neither have they completed my work, never hand over me the source codes. They are demanding a full payment before they can handover the source code, which is ridiculous. My experience with XICOM TECHNOLOGIES had been worst. I would not suggest anyone to work with XICOM TECHNOLOGIES. I have already moved the project to arbitration in Elance and awaiting their word.
